I first began Teaching Kyusho Jitsu in my Dojo back in 2004 I think it was. Honestly it was long enough ago I really don't recall exactly. When I first began the learning process it was not really my intention to teach classes in it separately. I was really looking for personal knowledge and integration into my root art.
But when I saw what GM Stewart was doing with it. I knew it was going to be GOLD for my school! And as a school owner, no matter how dedicated we are to the "training" it costs money to turn the key. So as soon as I was able I began my own study groups.
My first study group was about 12 people in size. I held a once per month session that ran about 2.5 hours in length. I found this to be the perfect time as people ended up saying "wow that was fast" and not looking at their watches because the class was too long. They could not wait for the next session! Soon I had people asking when they could join too. I was shocked at the power this program had in my school.
The problem with running a martial art school, especially full time is everybody eventually quits. Not only do we usually take this personally, but it leaves a hole in the school and depending on the person others may follow. Before Kyusho Jitsu my adult quit rate was about 5% per month. Now that is HIGH! Your class will shrink very quickly at this rate. Some schools are as high as 10% and more!
But once I added "kyusho" study groups, and began implementation of the science of pressure point self defense into my program my adult quit rate dropped to about 1%!
Why? The teaching and learning is motivational and challenging. Most adults quit because they get BORED!
Today at my Dojo in Canada I am not sure how many Kyusho Jitsu Black Belts we have in total. I have made so many over the years I have lost track. My Kyusho Study Group is being run monthly by my senior Black Belts, who are now also Kyusho Masters. The program has been running since about 2004, or 2005 and has always had students in it!
Are my results typical? I think that most people could do much better than I did! I was operating 4 locations, plus other programs what were not so successful! But the great news is if this is something you wish to do, to add to your program I am here to help you along the way!
I have systems that when followed give a clear path to success! This is not something you buy and get a good luck pat of the back. I am here all the way to support you!
