Cycle of Destruction

Cycle of Destruction

The Cycle of Destruction is one of the cornerstone principles in Kyusho Jitsu. As you can see from the diagram above the cycle breaks down as the following:

  • Fire melts Metal
  • Metal chops Wood
  • Wood penetrated Earth
  • Earth dams Water
  • Water quenches Fire

Pretty simple right? The diagram also has the cycle of creation on it. But we don't need to focus on this right now.

Organs and Elements

Each organ in the body, and therefore the meridian that represents them has a relationship to an element. So lets look at this relationship.

  • Heart - Pericardium - Small Intestine and Triple Warmer - FIRE
  • Lung and Large Intestine - Metal
  • Gall Bladder and Liver - Wood
  • Spleen and Stomach - Earth
  • Kidney and Urinary Bladder - Water

Pretty simple also, right? All of these must be memorized in order to be used in Kyusho Jitsu, and ultimately self defense effectively. But there is a whole lot more to this!

With this in mind I have a great opportunity for you! Below is a link where you can go and watch my 10 Principles of Kyusho Jitsu Attack with the Cycle of Destruction Video! Just follow the link and enjoy!
