The martial arts when they first came to Europe and North America happened primarily after WWII. It did exist before that time, but was very very rare.
As the arts during the war were being taught to primarily the military, then after as they began to become mainstream were not the original forms taught in place like Japan, China and Korea. They were watered down with much of the real substance missing.
Secrets were kept for good reason. Mostly hard feeling over war.
Today, as the masters of old depart this world, or retire from teaching the hidden secrets began to come forward. What is now the pressure point art and science of Kyusho Jitsu is one of those “secrets’ hidden from the western cultures. They were simply called “nerve strikes.”
Today with the information age raging the information on pressure points is everywhere. However anyone with a few dollars can have a website and post almost whatever they choose. But it does not make the information accurate or correct. When you do find information it is often fragmented and incomplete in form.
However there is now a REAL solution. Back at the beginning of this year I created Kyusho Jitsu University, which is a curriculum based learning system so that the student can get all the information, in a logical order designed for retention and review.
The courses come in many favors also, from FREE to downloadable to paid monthly memberships. It all just depends on what you are looking for!
